Updated 4th March 2022

Are you travelling to Master Debonair in either Sunderland or East Boldon and you're not too sure of the area? Thinking about bringing your dog? Then you'll be glad to know there are plenty of places to see in the area, as well as eat and relax, that are dog-friendly. Our East Boldon is situated in South Tyneside, in between Sunderland and Newcastle. You are only a 20-minute drive away from Newcastle City Centre and a 10-minute drive from the coast in Sunderland or South Shields (of course our Sunderland City Centre store is even closer, just a few minutes drive away!) - the perfect place for you and your dog to enjoy.

Most places along the coast have outside seating where dogs are allowed. However, you can never trust the English weather, especially in the North East, so here is a list of places which allow dogs inside, that do lovely food and drinks not only for yourself, but for your dog too.

THE GREY HORSE BOLDON

A great pub with a homely feel just round the corner from our shop. In fact, this is Master Debonair's local. A perfect quick stop if you need a refreshment and a bite to eat.

THE BLACK HORSE BOLDON

An eclectic venue which doesn't sell standard pub food. There is always something new to look at every time you enter the Black Horse with a new innovative menu to match. only a two minute drve from our store.

THE PROMENADE SEABURN

The newly renovated pub sells great food and drinks, complemented with a great atmosphere, as well as a front and back beer garden with a sea view. Dogs are more than welcome, they can even order food if they wish.

GRANNIE ANNIES ROKER

Situated right on Roker Sea Front, Grannie Annies is the perfect venue for a drink and some food after a stroll along the pier - at a great price too!

FAUSTO COFFEE

Fausto is a lovely sea view cafe located in-between the two piers, which welcomes dogs. If you fancy a relaxing walk, then sit and eat brunch with a view, a coffee and a slice of homemade cake, then you will love Fausto. You may see their van around Seaburn for a coffee on the go.

THE IVY HOUSE, ASHBROOK

The Ivy House is your typical local boozer, choc-ful of good beers and good company of the locals of Sunderland. They also serve a hearty menu of pub grub for you to enjoy. So if you're after somewhere comforting with a good atmostphere, The Ivy is the placce to go!

THE BRIDGE TAVERN NEWCASTLE QUAYSIDE

Slightly further afield than the rest of the place on this list but with their venue in a prime spot on the Quayside in Newcastle, it is a beautiful place to see if you are in the North East. Stroll along the Quayside and pop into the Bridge Tavern for lunch.

THE CITY TAVERN NEWCASTLE

Another venue based in Newcastle City Centre and you won't most definitely won't be the only customer bringing your dog into the City Tavern. They even have a dog wall of fame featuring all their cute furry customers.
